  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Add half of the onions and ham on top. Drizzle with melted butter and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour half of the heavy cream over the layers followed by half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil (shiny side down) and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow layers to set.
