  • 1 lb ground pork (or chicken/tofu)
  • 4 green onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce until well mixed.
  2. Place about one teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water and fold diagonally to seal.
  3. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Gently drop in wontons and cook until they float (about 3-5 minutes). Remove with a slotted spoon.
  4. In another pot, heat chicken broth over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger; simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer cooked wontons into the simmering broth and stir in sesame oil. Heat on low for an additional 5 minutes.
