Ingredients
  

Onion Rings
  • 2 large yellow onions sliced into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling

Method
 

Prepare the Onion Rings
  1. Peel the onions and slice them into 1/4 inch thick rings. Separate the rings and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
Cook the Onion Rings
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Arrange the coated onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  4. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Serve
  1. Remove the onion rings from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
  2. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
