Ingredients
  

Beans
  • 2 cans canned navy beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Bacon
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
Vegetables
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Method
 

Prepare the Bacon
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving some drippings in the skillet.
Sauté Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
Mix Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, sautéed onion and garlic, and half of the cooked bacon. Mix well.
Bake
  1. Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining bacon. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your baked beans with bacon!

Notes

These baked beans are great for barbecues and potlucks. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar to taste.
