Method
Prepare the Beef
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides.
- Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables
- In the same pot, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the carrots and cook for another 5 minutes.
Combine and Simmer
- Return the beef to the pot. Add the cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add Potatoes and Peas
- Add the cubed potatoes and green peas to the pot. Stir well and continue to simmer for another 20-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
Serve
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with rice or bread.
