Preparation
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the marinara sauce, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Add the chopped bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms on top of the chicken and sauce.
Cooking
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Serving
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce and vegetables.
- Serve hot, topped with shredded mozzarella cheese and fresh basil.
