Ingredients

Beef Patty Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder optional
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce for added flavor

Method

Prepare the Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
  3. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  4. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
